| Welcome to Nzinga Dance African and African Caribbean Dance Drum and Song is a Story telling of the history, legends and traditions of Africa. We celebrate the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Africa with pride, and enhance cross-cultural knowledge and appreciation of Africa's unique Story as brought to life via the arts. Nzinga Dance perform African and African Caribbean cultural Dance, Drum, Song and Folklore. We perform at corporate and launch events, schools and community events, Arts festivals and events. We also offer a range of educational arts workshops including African Dance, Caribbean Dance, Afro- Street Dance, African Drumming, Caribbean Drumming, African Singing, Storytelling, Arts & Crafts, African cookery African Dance performance Sunday 23rd March 3pm at the Horniman Museum 100 London Road SE23. Entrance free, arrive early to ensure seat. Courses New courses start Sunday 20th April 2008 at the Horniman Museum. Classes will resume in Summer 2008. Here is some class info in the meantime: Every Thursday 7-8.15pm. Dance-Exercise classes for adults. Get fit, healthy and active, learn/practice dance moves accompanied by sounds of Zouk, Soukous, Soca, Calypso, Hi-Life, Hip-Life, Traditional. No experience needed. Drum Sales and Repair We sell African Drums and also offer drum repair, tuning and skin replacement. Private tuition Individual or small group Dance and Drumming lessons can be provided. Please note - for individual or small group Drum tuition, student(s) must have own drum. |
